BORDERIT MULTI
If you copy the program to a folder containing pictures and run it from there, it will show you a framed preview of the first picture in that folder. The file list
will be shown in the panel on the right (which you can drag around by the way), and if you click on their names, the pictures will be shown with frames in
the preview box. Nothing has been saved at this point. Alternatively, you can get your pictures from another source, so just click on the "Open Folder"
icon at the bottom to see another set of pictures for framed preview.
There are 2 ways you can save the picture being previewed (with a frame around it). However, before attempting this, please make sure that the picture
does not occupy a space larger than the screen itself: the program works by capturing an area of the screen, but this cannot be done for portions that
are not visible.
The simplest and most direct way of saving the framed picture is to save it in the CURRENT FOLDER (the one being previewed whose path is shown
on the panel between the file list and the icons at the bottom). In this case, click on the "Save Here" icon. It will be saved with the suffix "_framed" added
to its name, and this new file will appear in the current folder list on display. For example, the picture "DSC05611_420w.jpg" without a frame will be saved as
"DSC05611_420w_framed.jpg":
However, if you do not want to save your framed picture in the current folder, or you want to give it a name purely of your own choice, click on the "Save As"
icon:
The suggested output file name in the "Save As" dialogue shown above includes the suffix "_framed", but you can change the file name to anything
you want.
PREVIEWING PICTURES AND SAVING THEM WITH A FRAME
Well, that's about all I think. A summary of what has just been explained can be found in the Help/About menu.
CHANGING THE PREVIEW PICTURE FRAMES
The Borderit MULTI pack comes with 25 different fames for you to choose from.
If you are clever enough, you can see how the frames are made by examining the program's subfolder "frames" and make additional ones yourself.
To change the frame around the preview picture, click on the "Choose Border" button at the top of the control panel:
Then click on the right or left arrow buttons to see the next/previous frame available.
When you see a frame you like, click on the frame preview image:
